About – Future Lions

Since beginning as a local football academy in Northamptonshire, the Future Lions Group has grown on an international scale, founding academies and football clubs that are providing new platforms for players in Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America to thrive.

Future Lions Education courses are run in several locations in England – each within an established football club environment – and students will be able to pick the brains of former professional footballers who are excellent guest coaches and working in our knowledge staff.

The mission of Future Lions Education is to deliver sports education to post-16 learners and help them take the first steps towards employment in the sports industry – particularly within football.

There are also opportunities to gain work experience and FA coaching and officiating badges alongside Future Lions Education courses, and utilise the many connections that the Future Lions Group has to offer in all levels of the game.

People aged 16 to 19 can study for BTEC qualifications that focus on sports coaching, with opportunities to participate in a long list of optional sports-based learning units that includes health and wellbeing, injuries, psychology, physiology, officiating, and self-employment.
